The Women's Centre is a safe place for women and non-binary people to visit. 

 

OUR MISSION is: "Empowering women to be safe, resourceful, to value themselves and to achieve their potential."

 

 In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we wish for our communtiy to have a harassment-free experience while visiting the Nelson Women's Centre, regardless of age, body size, gender expression, disability, ethnicity, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

 

 

The Centre team is aiming at providing every visitor with the best experience. To ensure this, we ask that all visitors observe and adhere to the following;

  • Be respectful and kind to all users of the Centre.
  • Speak to staff if you feel you uncomfortable about any behaviour.
  • Not to arrive at the Centre intoxicated or bring any alcohol with you.
  • No public or private harassment.
  • No physical or verbal aggression will be tolerated.

Please also keep your scheduled appointments or Contact us ASAP if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Try to be up front with us about what is going on for you so we can help you as best we can.
