This September marks 130 years of women holding the right to vote in Aotearoa New Zealand.

To celebrate this, we are holding a special open day at the Nelson Women’s Centre

which will be on Tuesday 19 September from 10am-4pm.

Come on down and join us through out the day to celebrate, connect with, and acknowledge the wāhine in your life and our history. 

We will have...

a range of free or low cost wellbeing treatments and services from generous local providers...

an exhibition 'Being a woman in...': a creative showcase of the current situation of women's rights around the world...

along with a shared lunch (open to all genders), music, and good company.
